I LOVE BEAUTIFUL THINGS... AND CREATIVITY OF ANY KIND I have always so admired creative, imaginative people. But, I have also always been afraid to try to join them. I have never had an art lesson, but have been very fortunate to be on sites where amazing artists share some of the things they've learned and even make suggestions or praises to novices like I was. In 2008, I picked up a pencil, and drew a photo that impressed me. For someone who had no lessons, no experience, it wasn't bad, and I got the rush that comes from creating, from trying! My family and friends encouraged me to keep at it, to try new mediums, and with time and practice, I started to produce pieces that I was proud of... and actually wanted to share. So here I am,...

Thank you for posting it…I deeply relate to it as well. I see myself in Natures majesty reveling in the VASTNESS …YOUR MOMENT WAS Grand Canyon…mine was once seeing Denali disappear into the clouds from glacier bay…on a crowded deck in ABSOLUTE SILENCE! Hundreds were gathered …in sacred space…of smallness in the Presence of the then untouched …PRISTINE CALVING GLACIERS would occasionally THUNDER and our collective hearts raced as one with each aftershock. Yes…NATURE…amazing! Your oainting…a returned glimpse of mystical moments! I can’t wait to feature!

I have had that type experience in "real life" too, but this one was an imaginary trip during covid shutdown... and the time spent drawing this, paying attention to detail, was almost as wonderful as being able to actually make the trip.
