Oh Kathy ... I absolutely love this fabulous painting!!!! And as Kay says it, this one does indeed say it all about the crazy things photographers sometimes do!!! And love the subject within the subject as well ... you have created such a couple of fun stories!!! f

Artist's Description

I am a VERY poor photographer! And I love working on drawings that tell ME a story. I often spend days looking for the public source photos I want to combine for the story I have in mind. I was browsing Unsplash one day looking for a reference photo for my next drawing when I ran across my main reference for this drawing and knew I had to use it! The photographer does NOT show us what inspired him to put himself into such a psition, braced between two buildings to get the shot he wanted, so off I went to find a couple birds! Haha! So two more refernce photos helped me finish my story, making this a perfect homage to the generous, talented photographers that I willlikely never meet, but allow me to pursue my hobby so satisfactorily! My thanks to all, but in this case, specifically to William Daigneault and Benoit Gauzere (Unsplash free source), and then for the final piece I thank colored pencil artist and photographer Cathy Mihulka, who allowed me to borrow her cardinal!! I have never had an art lesson, but have been very fortunate to be on sites where amazing artists share some of the things they've learned and even make suggestions or praises to novices like I was.
