I saw an amazing photograph available without license by a young man who goes by Syaibatulhamdi, and I was inspired to try to capture the feelings, the courage, and the majesty it made me feel. This is the result.
I LOVE BEAUTIFUL THINGS... AND CREATIVITY OF ANY KIND I have always so admired creative, imaginative people. But, I have also always been afraid to try to join them. I have never had an art lesson, but have been very fortunate to be on sites where amazing artists share some of the things they've learned and even make suggestions or praises to novices like I was. Wow Kathy, amazing inspired art!!
Kathy Crockett replied:
Thanks Sharon! The amazing thing about this is the actual photograph that was taken of this amazing location and event! I changed the observer to a female because it was early in the pandemic and traveling was nearly impossible and so much of our time was spent alone to avoid making vulnerable friends and relatives ill. The reference photo was amazing and made me feel that in time the epidemic would pass and God was capable of amazing works... as some people were too!

Gem!
Kathy Crockett replied:
Thanks Georgia! The thing that amazed me was that two people, a man and a photographer, were actually THERE to witness the actual event! But what led me to draw it was the absolute majesty and solo experience that felt just like the summer of 2020! There was so little total solitude in my life before the shutdowns, and traveling the world, to places I'll never see in real life led to all my drawings through this period!
