Books filled so many voids for me growing up. I loved reading, discovering, crying, laughing, feeling, learning, being surprised, and 99% of that came through fiction and biographies. When I ran across Andres Roches piece ("Path of Wisdom") on Deviant Art and was allowed to use it as a reference photo I was thrilled! I have had a wonderful time "hanging out" in this beautiful place while working on this piece with Prismacolor Premier colored pencils, tweaked digitally to gently enhance the lighter colors. Of course, I had to add the young lady from my imagination, but I knew she was there! :) Welcome to the "Library of Dreams"! Sit, enjoy, stay awhile!
I LOVE BEAUTIFUL THINGS... AND CREATIVITY OF ANY KIND I have always so admired creative, imaginative people. But, I have also always been afraid to try to join them. I have never had an art lesson, but have been very fortunate to be on sites where amazing artists share some of the things they've learned and even make suggestions or praises to novices like I was. In 2008, I picked up a pencil, and drew a photo that impressed me. For someone who had no lessons, no experience, it wasn't bad, and I got the rush that comes from creating, from trying! My family and friends encouraged me to keep at it, to try new mediums, and with time and practice, I started to produce pieces that I was proud of... and actually wanted to share. So here I am,...

I changed the color scheme and changed the book arrangements, but I'm not sure that allows me to take credit for composition in this case.I really do appreciate your support tho, Shiva!
