Drawn from a photo I took on a vacation in the Caribbean several years ago of two dolphins swimming in the waves ahead of us. This picture evokes feelings of love between the pair, playfulness, joy,and peace, as well as the warmth of the sun versus the coolness of the water on my skin. I pictured a love one who had just passed reuniting with the love of her life who she had missed for nearly 20 years, as they continued their relationship anew in a new world, which is how the picture came to be named. This was my first drawing on drafting film, using both sides to create this piece using colored pencil.
I LOVE BEAUTIFUL THINGS... AND CREATIVITY OF ANY KIND I have always so admired creative, imaginative people. But, I have also always been afraid to try to join them. I have never had an art lesson, but have been very fortunate to be on sites where amazing artists share some of the things they've learned and even make suggestions or praises to novices like I was. In 2008, I picked up a pencil, and drew a photo that impressed me. For someone who had no lessons, no experience, it wasn't bad, and I got the rush that comes from creating, from trying! My family and friends encouraged me to keep at it, to try new mediums, and with time and practice, I started to produce pieces that I was proud of... and actually wanted to share. So here I am,...
