WINTER IN ST LUCIA, by Kathy S Crockett, from my original colored pencil "painting"
This winter was a bear!! I was so lucky to spend a few days in the warm and gorgeous Carribbean soaking up the warmth, the colors, the sites and smells! Such a beautiful part of the world. St. Lucia became an immediate new favorite! This was just one of the incredible views from this beautiful location. Seeing the drawing helps to warm me back up!! : )
I LOVE BEAUTIFUL THINGS... AND CREATIVITY OF ANY KIND I have always so admired creative, imaginative people. But, I have also always been afraid to try to join them. I have never had an art lesson, but have been very fortunate to be on sites where amazing artists share some of the things they've learned and even make suggestions or praises to novices like I was. In 2008, I picked up a pencil, and drew a photo that impressed me. For someone who had no lessons, no experience, it wasn't bad, and I got the rush that comes from creating, from trying! My family and friends encouraged me to keep at it, to try new mediums, and with time and practice, I started to produce pieces that I was proud of... and actually wanted to share. So here I am,...
